I've been wanting to make one of these for a while, and I finally did it. Forged from 5/8" square mild steel stock, finished with beeswax. 8.25" in length.

The tines were hacksaws out and then cleaned up with files, and the fullers on either side of the twist were made with a spring fuller and cleaned up with files. The spoon was formed over the anvil with a ball peen hammer, not with a spoon swage.

In addition to the spork part, it's also got a meat skewer on the other end.

The king had declared this day 'blacksmith's day' after his trusty metalsmith invented a device that would allow him to eat his soup and steak at the same time.

A cheer went up from noble and peasant alike.

Old king cole may have had his bowl, his pipe, and his fiddlers three, but those paled in comparission to the new kings spork.

Great workmanship

Horribly intrusive watermarks are tacky. If you're concerned about people stealing your photos, don't post them on the internet.

Photography is the simultaneous recognition, in a fraction of a second, of the significance of an event. (HCB)

Gold is for the mistress, silver for the maid, copper for the craftsman, cunning at his trade.
"Good!" said the Baron, sitting in his hall, "But iron, cold iron, is master of them all!"
